We recently supplied a custom mezzanine floor for a domestic shed project in Booral, with installation completed by our trusted builder Rick Arnold, servicing the Hervey Bay region.
Designed to maximise the available storage space within the shed while maintaining valuable floor area below, the mezzanine was engineered to a 3kPa domestic load rating and constructed using durable 21mm structural plywood flooring.
The project included an 800mm wide staircase fitted with aluminium treads suitable for non-habitable applications, along with NCC-compliant handrails and a sliding safety gate to provide secure and convenient access to the upper storage area.
Following a lead time of approximately four weeks from order placement, the installation was completed efficiently over two days. The completed mezzanine has transformed the shed by creating a substantial additional storage area without increasing the building footprint, making better use of the available vertical space.
Engineering certification in the form of a Form 15 was available as an optional inclusion, allowing the project to be tailored to the client’s specific requirements.
