Location: Yarrabilba, QLD, 4207
Project Information
After a detailed site measure in our client’s Yarrabilba warehouse, we designed a solution to tie into an existing office and mezzanine floor. The access stairs were already there and all that needed to be done was cutting in a door to allow for a walkway to the new mezzanine, which the client arranged to be done by his local builder.
During the design process we had to factor in and match the floor level of the existing mezzanine, as well as the floor level to match the door that had been put in, ready to access the mezzanine from a landing in the office.
Fixed to the tilt panel on one side with a nesting channel, and two posts on the other, we were able to design a cantilever section to allow for more useable room below.
The new storage Mezzanine had a 3kPa load rating, 21mm plywood flooring sheets and 400 centre joists.
The handrail and sliding gate are custom designed in house and fabricated, and designed to meet AS1657.
Three weeks lead time from approval of final design. The install was finished in a day with a three man crew, and we used two scissor lifts, delivered to site the day prior by the fantastic team at Freedom Forklifts.
Posts and handrail posts were powder coated white to match the aesthetic already in the warehouse.
